If your lips are prone to dryness and sensitivity, you may want to stick to more nourishing and hydrating formulations. Depending on the severity either condition, you may also want to apply a medicated lip balm before applying lipstick. Ultra-matte and super longwearing formulations applied directly on the lips may exacerbate these issues.
